Where are you located?

We are located on Emerson Street in Monroe. The Little Sweet Shoppe is a cottage (home based bakery). Unless there is a popup with a different address, pickups are on Emerson Street. Your invoice will include the street address.

How far in advance do I need to order?

Accepted Answer

Reserving your date as far ahead as you can is best.  Orders are taken based on availability.  Peak seasons take a longer lead time (around Valentines, Mardi Gras, Easter, Graduation, Halloween and Christmas).  Sometimes I can squeeze in an order last minute, but I also book out for months in advance.

Online ordering is available for 3 months from today's date, except blocked dates.   Some items can be ready as soon as two days!

What is the payment / invoice policy?

Invoice Payment Policy
Orders with less than 7 days’ notice: Full payment is due immediately to allow time for ordering supplies and beginning your request.
Orders placed 7–30 days in advance: Full payment is due within 48 hours of invoicing.
Orders placed more than 30 days in advance (over $75): A 50% nonrefundable retainer is required within 48 hours to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the order date.

Do you have items ready everyday?

Most things are made to order. On occasion when we are testing a new recipe, or made way too much for an order, we will have flash sales.  Check Facebook & Instagram for those goodies!

Also the Ready to pickup section of the website has anything that we have on hand!

What size cake do I need?

I'd love to say that there is never too much of a good thing, but instead - let's figure out what is right for your event!  Reference our serving chart to see how many servings each size makes!

How long do sugar cookies last?

Accepted Answer

If sugar cookies are heat sealed, they can last several weeks.  Heat sealing is available for all cookie orders.  We can heat seal in a bag that fits the cookie or we can heat seal in a large bag that allows room for ribbon or decorations if the cookies are party favors.  Please let us know your preference and we will include that in your order.   They can last in a closed bakery box for several days, and in a sealed container for several weeks.

When you pick up your order, you will receive a Sugar Cookie care card with instructions on how to store them, and even how to freeze them!

Question 7

Do you make allergen free desserts?

Accepted Answer

Our kitchen includes gluten products, eggs and nuts.  We do make items without flour, eggs or nuts; but do not have seperate kitchen space or equipment to be completely allergen free.  I can remove nuts and eggs from most cake recipes if that is needed.
